LEBLANC, Léonard E.

Léonard (Len) J. E. LeBlanc, 75, of 960 St. Georges Blvd., Moncton, died Sunday at The Moncton Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Belliveau Village, he was a son of the late Thomas and Zelma (LeBlanc) LeBlanc, and had been superintendent of People's Park tower until retirement. He was a golden age club member, member of Moncton Branch 6, Royal Canadian Legion and served overseas during the Second World War.

He is survived by his wife, the former Johanna Jasper; three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Drew (Jeannette) of Saint John, Mrs. Robert Small (Elizabeth) of Halifax and Mrs. Stephen Mont (Joanne) of Winnipeg; four sons, Raymond of Labrador, Phillip of Lynn, Mass., Paul of Halifax and Léonard of Moncton; four sisters, Mrs. Almo Landry (Adella) and Mrs. Raymond Cormier (Dorilla), both of Lynn, Mass., Mrs. Wilfred Landry (Anita) of Salem, Mass., and Mrs. Catherine Gautreau of Portsmouth, N.H.; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Arsène.

The body is at Frenette's Funeral Home, Moncton. Funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Moncton. Interment will be in the Pré-d'en-Haut Roman Catholic Cemetery. The Legion will hold a service today at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
